When to take ACT prep course

If you want to attend a USA, Canadian, or UK university you may need to take the ACT standardized test.

The thing is, you are probably wondering when to take ACT prep course for you to get the best result.

Timing is Critical

To be frank, timing is everything.

To do well on any of the standardized tests for university entry, you need to give yourself sufficient time to study and practice for the examinations.

The best way to prepare for the ACT is to start early.

Cramming at the last minute does not do any good and will not help you.

You want to refresh your memory overtime.

Start at a slow and steady pace, and your brain will be able to remember more.

In spite of what you may have heard, you can cover more ground by taking it slow and steady when you start early.

There are no magic solutions here. Timing and sufficient time is key.

ACT Schedule Timing

The ACT examination is administer several times throughout a year. So, you have a number of different choices when to take the test.

The ACT schedule changes yearly. But there is some sort of pattern that has actually established throughout the years.

Generally, there is an examination readily available in October, November, December, January, March, May, and June.

When to Take ACT prep course

So, think about your school grade. Are you a junior or a senior in high school? If you are a junior, you have some leeway, timewise. If you are a senior, you need to get moving pronto.

Although colleges and universities have different guidelines concerning applications, most advise that seniors look for their fresher year of university by December of their senior year. If you are senior, this timeline automatically gets rid of half of the ACT examinations schedule.

With this in mind, you will probably aim to test at the back end of your junior year and during the summer period before your senior year.

You should start your ACT prep course at least 3-6 months before your first official ACT test.

Junior’s in High School

If you are a junior in high school, do not necessarily need to rush to take your official ACT test too early.

The ACT covers a variety of English and math topics covered in senior high school, including the junior year.

Do not take the ACT before you are able to familiarize on your own with a few of these topics. Instead, take lots of practice tests and practice reading comprehension, vocabulary building, essay writing, and mathematics. In other words, build on the core skills needed to do well in the ACT examinations.

Senior’s in High School

For high school juniors, it is normally best to wait in the direction of completion of the school year. A ACT test in May or June permits you to absorb the details found out in courses as well as use it in the practice of your ACT.

Getting the Best Score

If you want to get the best examination score feasible. Planning for when to take ACT prep course is simple.

Most students depend on the information learned in classes and after that simply review their notes. Keeping that in mind, not everyone scores as high as they would certainly do.

If the colleges you desire to apply to do consider ACT scores, and you did not score well on your first official ACT examination, you might want to attempt the ACT exam several times.

Yes, it is possible for you to do this. However, be aware of the ACT exam schedule and the dates availability.

Also, remember the due date for submitting your college applications. Arrange your first ACT test to make sure that there is sufficient time for you to retake the ACT test if you do not perform as well as you would have liked.
